después de eso, los 4 comenzaron a moverse para irse del castillo pero fueron sorprendidos por los guardias, quienes atraparon a maléfico con una red de metal, muchos guardias comenzaron allegar y empezaron rodear a maléfico solamente, Diaval y Jonathan luchaban por liberar a maléfico pero era imposible pues los guardias los quitaban y luchaban contra ellos para impedir que fueran a salvarlo entonces llego el rey Estefan con una armadura y con una espada hecha de puro metal los guardias seguían al rededor para que no escapara, entonces Estefan lanzo el primer movimiento pero antes de que le pudiera hacer algo maléfico se convirtió en un terrible dragón color negro y morado varios soldados salieron corriendo pero otros no y se apresuraron ayudar a su rey pero diaval y Jonathan los detenían, Nathaniel corrió a convencer a su padre de que estaba cometiendo un error pero era en vano. así que cuando maléfico iba a tacar se detuvo por Nathaniel , el cual Estefan al darse cuenta estaba dispuesto a sacrificar a su hijo, Jonathan al ver eso fue corriendo hacia el rey pero el lanzo la espada hacia maléfico y antes de que Jonathan pudiera quitar a Nathaniel del rey logo atravesarlo, Jonathan le pudo quitar a Nathaniel de las manos pues pensó que había ganado la batalla pero no fue así, maléfico se dio cuenta y ataco al rey así terminando con esto, aunque todo había acabado maléfico regreso a la normalidad pero estaba grave , Nathaniel, diaval y Jonathan lo llevaron a sus tierras y algunas criaturas estaban tristes las hadas al saber lo que iso maléfico la ayudaron con su magia aunque no era mucho lograron que la hemorragia se acabara ahora solo era reposo.
Varios días después maléfico se encontraba bien y decidió hacerle una pequeña fiesta a Nathaniel el cual era darle su corona.
